On April 7, 2023, my husband Andrew and I got married at Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake in Shelbyville, MI. Immediately after, we left for our honeymoon in Crete, Greece! We stayed at Stella Island Luxury Resort and Spa, and we spent many days exploring the beautiful island by boat, car, foot, horseback, and ATV. We were gone for a total of 10 days. It was so nice and relaxing, and right before my busy wedding season kicked off. Let’s check out some of the film scans I got on my destination honeymoon below!

Film Scans From Andrew & I’s Honeymoon in Crete, Greece

Earlier this year, I made a promise to myself that I would document more of my personal life. I am sooo
good at documenting everyone else’s special moments, that I often would forget to document my own. I don’t always love bringing my camera with me places. It makes me feel like I am working in a sense. Because of this, I decided to buy a point-and-shoot film camera. I’m slowly dipping my toes into film, but for now it’s just for my personal life (but you might see it at your wedding or engagement session, too!). I brought 3 rolls of Portra 400 film and my point-and-shoot camera with me to Greece. Everything else stayed at home. For these being my first rolls of film developed, I was impressed!

Film has given me a new perspective. It always brings me right back to the feelings I had in the moment. It also made me slow down, which doesn’t happen all that often anymore. Here’s your reminder to slow down, and enjoy where you are at. I hope you enjoy my film scans from my honeymoon in Crete!
