Emily and Wyatt had their boho Traverse City wedding at Timberlee Hills. Timberlee Hills is a former ski lodge that is nestled in the rolling hills of Leelanau County and is located just minutes from downtown Traverse City.

Emily and her family are from the upper peninsula of Michigan and Wyatt and his family are from Detroit, Michigan which made Timberlee Hills the perfect place to meet in the middle for their Traverse City wedding. Emily and Wyatt’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful and such a dream.

Their wedding day focused on the love they have for each other and their people. Em and Wyatt really know how to PARTYYYY! Emily changed into a different dress right before their first dance and surprised Wyatt with a Nadine Merabi dress that she bought the week before her wedding. We finally ended the night with a custom ice cream flavor from Moomers that Wyatt and Emily made for their wedding day!

Now, their love story! Emily met Wyatt during her senior year of college. Wyatt had just transferred to Central Michigan University and was randomly placed to live with some guys Emily knew from the gym, who is now Wyatt’s best man. Emila and Wyatt played flag football together and would see each other at the gym, which made it easy for Wyatt and Emily to start talking.

Wyatt was shy, but Emily always made it a point to say something to him. One day, as Emily was walking to class, she told her friend that she thought Wyatt was cute. Her friend was like “wait… he was just saying that you were!” And that is when Wyatt and Emily started really to hit it off.

A few months later, Emily moved to Idaho to finish school. She and Wyatt did long distance for that year, and once they made it through, they knew that they were meant to be together.
