Lindsay and Blake’s engagement session at Oval Beach in Saugatuck, Michigan was so beautiful! Oval Beach is one of my favorite beaches because there is so much variety here, and it generally isn’t super busy! It has the beautiful coast of Lake Michigan with small sand dunes, dune grass, and the tree line! This engagement session was right after a rainstorm, which kept the beach empty for us! We kept going back and forth on if we should reschedule or not, but we ended up embracing whatever Michigan was going to give us! I am so glad we did because the beach was empty and we had it all to ourselves. The water and the sky looked so stunning, and we had so much fun! Lindsay + Blake’s Sunset Engagement at Oval Beach in Michigan

Lindsay and Blake chose Oval Beach in Michigan as their location because they got engaged on the beach, and Lake Michigan beaches are their favorite place! They have been together for three years and met on a co-ed kickball team in Grand Rapids that their mutual friends organized.

Blake is a few years older than Lindsay, and they went to different schools. Their paths didn’t cross until they were both living in Grand Rapids! Blake went to Hope College and Lindsay went to Grand Valley. They both decided to stay because they love the west side of the state. Lindsay says that Blake is the peace and calm to her storm, and their life together is so happy and easy. They love good food and wine, nights in when they can cook dinner together, listening to John Mayer on their record player, playing Mario Kart, and watching movies together! They will be getting married later this year in October!
