This wedding day was so romantic and full of so many intimate moments! The venue of choice was a wedding venue in Holland – Port 393, which has a beautiful rooftop terrace for wedding ceremonies! Their wedding ceremony was what was most important to them because you cannot recreate ceremony photos as you can with other wedding day photos. Taylor had the most beautiful bouquet of wildflowers by Florista of West Olive, and I was soo obsessed! Although it was a bit windy, it was the perfect spring day in Michigan! A fun fact about Taylor and Nolan’s wedding is it was actually on my birthday! I truly mean it when I say my clients come first!
Taylor & Nolan’s Adventures Before Their Romantic Wedding at The Port 393 | Holland Wedding Venue
Nolan and Taylor met through mutual friends on a weekend in September 2016. As they played fun games in Nolan’s fraternity house, they got to know each other. They then exchanged contacts and planned a weekend to meet up again. Their first date will go down as probably the longest and most event-packed first date ever! Taylor and Nolan’s friends who introduced them, Evan and Rachel, planned a double date. That date included a donut run to Yate’s Cider Mill, going to see a movie, dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, a stop at the arcade at CJ Barrymore’s, some drinks at Bar Louie, and then ended with a movie night.
It wasn’t long before Nolan and Taylor began talking more and more each day, and they began dating on December 30th, 2016. Their adventures started from there with Nolan making sure Taylor didn’t fall down on the ice skating rink in Grand Rapids, going to each other’s fraternity and sorority events, learning how to carve intricate themed Halloween pumpkins, freezing their butts off at a Chicago Bears game, taking a two-week camping trip in Canada, and exploring Nolan’s new town in Stevensville!
Their most recent adventure was their “engagecation” in Colorado! That’s how Taylor describes their engagement vacation, but Nolan is not a fan of the name LOL! Nolan proposed to Taylor in the most beautiful location on their dating anniversary, at the peak of Green Mountain in Boulder, Colorado. It was a clear and sunny day with the snow-capped Rockies in the distance. As they both started tearing up, Taylor sincerely and enthusiastically said “Yes!”, and their newest adventure began!
